After weeks of dry, warm weather and a slow start to the season, we finally saw measurable snow this week — from the Copper to Keystone the snow stakes loaded up Monday Night and surprised us Tuesday morning with deep, soft turns.

☃️ What’s Happening Now

Snow is falling across much of the state following a long dry spell. Forecasts show measurable accumulation through Friday, especially in the Mountains.

📆 Snow Tracker: What’s Ahead

  • Thursday (1/8): A stronger storm system moves in with widespread snow — The focus shifts into the afternoon and evening hours, with snow expected into the night. 
  • Thursday–Friday: Accumulations of 4–8″ are likely across much of Colorado’s mountains, with locally higher amounts possible.
  • Friday: Lingering light snow in spots before drier, colder weather builds in. (aka perfect blue bird Colorado ski weekend.)
